ASP Trooper makes DWI and drug arrest near the Tollett Road and Hwy. 70.

On February 4, 2012 ASP Trooper Kyle Jones was patrolling on Hwy. 70 near the Tollett Road in Howard County.  Trooper Jones observed a gold Toyota Camry turning onto the Tollett Road and noticed that the left tail light was not working.  The vehicle drove onto the shoulder of the road and into the gravel.  Trooper Jones made a traffic stop on the vehicle and when he made contact with the driver, Robert K. Bailey w/m dob-5/10/1960, of 228 Tollett Road Newhope, Ar., he noticed a strong odor of intoxicants coming from Mr. Bailey.  Trooper Jones had Mr. Bailey exit the vehicle and while interviewing him noticed a bulge in Bailey’s left coat pocket.  Trooper Jones handcuffed Mr. Bailey and found three bags of suspected marijuana in Bailey’s left coat pocket.  Mr. Bailey was arrested for DWI and for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver.  Mr. Bailey is in the Howard County Jail and his bond is set at 10,000 dollars.
