Meth/Marijuana/Pill Arrest on Hwy 70 west of Dierks

11:27 p.m.

Deputies Joey Davis and Travis Turner stopped a 1993 Chevrolet pick up on Highway 70, west of Dierks around 11:30 p.m. on March 14, 2012.  Turner observed the female driver, Christie Maleski of Lockesburg, trying to hide something in a clothes bag when Turner approached the vehicle for the second time.  Later the Deputies searched the vehicle and bag of clothes and found a clear plastic bag containing meth, and then found some marijuana in Christie’s purse.  A male subject, David Maleski of Lockesburg, was a passenger in the vehicle but was not arrested. Christie Maleski, 36 year old white female was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, (Felony); and Possession of Controlled substance, Marijuana (Misd).

02:47 a.m. 

Deputy Travis Turner stopped a 2001 Mitsubishi car on Highway 70 west of Dierks for speeding, around 2:47 a.m. on 3/15/12. The driver of the vehicle was Patrick Bays, 32 year old white male from Hot Springs. Deputy Turner could smell marijuana when he walked up to the car and Bays and his passenger admitted to being around marijuana earlier on.  Turner searched the car and found a cigarette box containing a plastic bag with meth inside and also inside the cigarette box were twelve hydrocodone pills. Bays was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance; Methamphetamine, (felony), and Possession of Controlled Substance; Schedule 3 (pills) (misd).
