Officers make drug arrest on Old Airport Road


On July 17, 2012 shortly after midnight officers received a complaint of a fight in process near the EPI business on the Old Airport Road.  Officers advised that weapons were involved.  Deputy Steven Wakefield arrived in the area and was advised that the vehicles had left traveling north.  Deputy Wakefield located one of the vehicles involved and made a traffic stop on the vehicle.  During the search of the occupants Deputy Wakefield found suspected marijuana on the passenger of the vehicle.  The passenger was identified as Guillermo Garcia h/m dob-11/13/1988 of Nashville, Ar.  Lt. Clint Tedford arrived to assist Deputy Wakefield and Lt. Tedford transported Garcia to the Howard County Jail.  While Garcia was being booked into the Howard County Jail, Jailer Casey Simmons found suspected methamphetamine in the shoe of Garcia.  Garcia is being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance: Methamphetamine and Marijuana.  Bond for Garcia has been set at 25,000 dollars.
