Doyle Whisenhunt arrested on outstanding warrant and drug charges in Howard County

On February 27, 2013 at approximately 7:04 P.M. Deputy Joey Davis was patrolling south of Dierks on the Oak Hill Road.  Deputy Davis observed a grey Toyota truck cross the center line several times and performed a traffic stop on the vehicle.  Deputy Davis identified the driver as being Doyle Whisenhunt and found that he had an active warrant out of Sevier County for 3rd Degree Assault.   Whisenhunt was arrested on the warrant and Deputy Davis patted him down and he became very nervous.  Deputy Davis observed him while transporting him to the Howard County Jail and noticed him moving around a lot and trying to reach his pockets.  Deputy Davis called for Deputy Travis Turner to meet him at the jail and when they got him out of the vehicle they found a green container wrapped up in black electrical tape which contained three small baggies containing suspected methamphetamine in Whisenhunt pants.

Doyle Whisenhunt   w/m, 55 yrs of age, is being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose—Methamphetamine.   Doyle Whisenhunt is on parole.  Formal charges are pending and no bond has been set at this time.

Doyle Whisenhunt gave an address out of Little Rock but he has been living in the Greens Chapel area in Sevier County.
