On April 11, 2013 Howard County Investigators David Shelton and John Eric Glidewell were at Cottonshed in reference to a complaint of Maverick Bryan being in possession of a firearm.  Officers knew that Maverick Bryan was a convicted felon and was not suppose to have a firearm in his possession.  Investigators Shelton and Glidewell found Bryan walking on a road at Cottonshed and he was wearing a holster with a pistol in it and carrying a machete in his hand.  Shelton and Glidewell arrested Bryan and transported him to the Howard County Jail.  A 44 magnum pistol was taken from Bryan.  Later officers executed a search warrant at Bryan’s residence and found a 22 pistol. 

Maverick D. Bryan w/m dob-11/14/1960 of 302 Parker Ave. in Cottonshed is being charged with Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons and his bond is set at 100,000.00 dollars by Judge Jessica Gunter.
