Deputies arrest Jeremy Weeks for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and Driving on Suspended License

On August 4, 2013 at approximately 1:45 A.M. Deputies Steven Wakefield and Travis Turner were patrolling on Honeycutt Road near Mission Drive.  Deputies observed a white Ford car traveling north on Honeycutt Road and saw the vehicle cross the center line three times.  Deputies stopped the vehicle for the traffic violation and noticed the driver moving around inside the vehicle while they were performing the traffic stop.  The driver was identified as Jeremy Weeks w/m dob-9/14/1979 of Hot Springs, Ar.  Weeks advised the deputies that his driver license was suspended.  Deputies requested Weeks to exit the vehicle and when he exited the vehicle he carried a McDonald’s cup with him and placed it on the trunk of the vehicle.  Deputies observed an object floating inside the McDonald’s cup.  Deputy Wakefield picked the McDonald’s cup up and saw a clear plastic bag with a crystal like substance inside the McDonald’s cup.  After deputies found the suspected methamphetamine Weeks told deputies that it was methamphetamine and he was going back to prison.  Weeks was transported to the Howard County Jail where he is waiting for a bond to be set and formal charges to be filed.
