The Howard County Sheriff's Office receives a federal grant for new SWAT vests

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office has purchased 9 Titan Level -IIIA Assault Special Threat vests for the Howard County SWAT Team.  The vests were purchased with federal funds from a Homeland Security Grant—Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Activities.  The grant was in the amount of $15,700 dollars. 

The vests will be issued to the nine SWAT team members.  The team members are Howard County Chief Deputy Bryan McJunkins, Howard County Deputies Todd Tallant, Jade Hughes, Blake Eudy, Travis Turner and Nashville Police Officers Casey Parker, Randy Bohn, Will Bell and Justin Thornton.

The SWAT team will be better protected with the new vests when they are deployed in high risk situations.
