On January 11, 2014 at approximately 5:12 A.M. Deputy Travis Turner was dispatched to 1561 Schaal Road in reference to a male subject knocking on the door at that residence.  When Deputy Turner arrived he noticed a white vehicle stuck in the ditch on the east side of Schaal Road and saw a white male walking towards him on the Schaal Road.  Deputy Turner identified the male subject as Cowan Wesley Fritts w/m dob-12/28/1981 of 130 Old Airport Road Nashville, Ar.  Mr. Fritts advised Deputy Turner that he had fallen asleep and ran off the road.  Deputy Turner learned that Mr. Fritts driver’s license was suspended.  Deputy Turner arrested Fritts and transported him to the Howard County Jail.  During the booking process a small amount of suspected methamphetamine was found on Mr. Fritts.  Fritts is charged with Driving on a Suspended Drivers License and Possession of a Controlled Substance—Methamphetamine.   Bond for Fritts was set at 15,000 dollars and he has been released from the Howard County Jail.
