Felony Drug Arrest on Schaal Road
 

On February 10, 2014 at approximately 2:30 P.M. Howard County Deputies Jade Hughes and Timmy Floyd were patrolling on the Schaal Road near Mineral Springs.  The deputies observed a vehicle traveling north with a broken tail light.  The vehicle traveled through a curve on the wrong side of the road.  The vehicle was stopped and when Deputy Floyd approached the driver (Bridgette Davis) and asked for her driver’s license, she stated that her driver’s license was suspended.  Deputy Floyd checked the driver’s license through ACIC and found that they were suspended.  Deputy Floyd arrested Bridgette Davis w/f age 25 of Nashville, Arkansas for Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License.  The deputies went to the passenger side of the vehicle and could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  The passenger was asked to exit the vehicle.   The passenger did not want to get out of the vehicle because he stated that he had a hurt foot.  The passenger was James Younger w/m age 32 of Nashville, Arkansas.  Mr. Younger finally did get out of the vehicle and officers found a small black bag by his seat that contained marijuana.  Deputies also found a quarter gram of “ice” methamphetamine in the vehicle along with a glass light bulb.  James Younger was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance: Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance: Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Bond has been set at 10,000 dollars.
