The hot days of summer are upon us.  Please remember to look before you lock your vehicle making sure that no one is left inside a locked vehicle.  We have all heard sad reports of children dying from the heat after being left in a locked vehicle. 

There are many activities coming up in our county in the next couple of months.  The Pine Tree Festival at Dierks, the Tollette Homecoming, public schools open statewide, and the Howard County Fair are some of the upcoming events.

Please remember with our schools opening there will be a lot more traffic on our roads.  Watch out for school buses and children walking to and from school. 

Deputies along with the city and state officers have been busy working on the drug and theft problems in our county.
