The Howard County SWAT Team was called out in reference to a domestic battery located at 303 Honeycutt Lane.

 

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 4:41 A.M. from 303 Honeycutt Lane. in reference to a domestic battery.  Deputy Steven Wakefield responded to the call and found a female outside the residence who stated that her boyfriend Stanley Gosnell, a 38 yr. old white male, was inside the residence along with her eight year old son.  Gosnell advised Deputy Wakefield that he was going to make the police kill him.  Nashville Officers Jeremy Pickett and Clint Tedford arrived to assist Deputy Wakefield.  The suspect had a large knife and a long gun on his person when officers arrived.  Officers talked Gosnell into letting the eight year old out of the house.  The suspect continued to tell officers that he wanted them to kill him and was going to make them kill him.  Chief Deputy Bryan McJunkins was advised of the situation and went to the scene.  The Howard County SWAT Team was activated and arrived on the scene.  Chief Deputy McJunkins talked to the suspect who agreed to come outside and was arrested without incident.  The SWAT Team members are Chief Deputy Bryan McJunkins, Deputy Jade Hughes, Deputy Blake Eudy, Deputy Todd Tallant, Nashville Officers Will Bell, Casey Parker and Randy Bohn.

Gosnell is being charged with Domestic Battery and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
