Travis James Westerman w/m dob-12/24/1990 arrested on felony charges
On September 14, 2013 at approximately 7:10 P.M. Deputy Travis Turner was patrolling on Hwy. 371 near Davidson Road. Deputy Turner meet a vehicle traveling west that was straddling the fog line. Deputy Turner turned around on the vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle would not stop for Deputy Turner and a pursuit began. The vehicle turned onto Hwy. 26 and then onto Center Road. The suspect vehicle continued to flee from Deputy Turner for several miles on Center Road, Hwy. 26, and Britt Road. The pursuit reached speeds of 100 mph during the pursuit. The suspect vehicle crossed Hwy. 371 at approximately 50 mph and traveled down Pine Top Lane. The suspect vehicle fled to the end of the road where the driver jumped out and fled on foot from Deputy Turner. Deputy Turner observed a woman with two children running from the vehicle also. Deputy Turner located the suspect near some bales of hay and attempted to arrest him. The suspect resisted but was taken into custody by Deputies Travis Turner and Deputy Steven Wakefield. Other officers from the Howard County Sheriff’s Office and Nashville Police Department also arrived to assist Deputy Turner.
Travis James Westerman w/m dob-12/24/1990 from Ash Grove, Missouri is being charged with Felony Fleeing, Endangering the Welfare of Minors, and he is wanted out of Greene County Missouri on warrants for Violation of Probation.
No bond has been set at this time.
