On December 17, 2013 at approximately 1:31 A.M. Deputy Steven Wakefield was patrolling west of Nashville on Hwy. 371.  Deputy Wakefield observed a blue SUV type vehicle driving left of the center line and when he attempted to stop the vehicle he observed the passenger in the back seat moving around.  Deputy Wakefield stopped the vehicle and approached the driver who said she had just picked up the back seat passenger.  The driver stated that the passenger’s vehicle had broken down and she saw him standing in the cold and offered him a ride.  Deputy Wakefield obtained consent to search the vehicle and conducted a pat down on the passenger and found suspected methamphetamine in his coat pocket.  George E. Bamburg Sr. w/ dob-9/7/1948 of 412 N. 4^th St. Nashville, Ar. was arrested and transported to the Howard County Jail where additional methamphetamine was found on Bamburg.  No bond has been set at this time.
