On December 19, 2013 around 7:52 P.M. Deputy Joey Davis was patrolling on Jordan Road.  Deputy Davis came up behind a red Mercury Grand Marquis with no license plate traveling north.   Deputy Davis stopped the vehicle and when he approached the driver’s side of the vehicle he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  The driver was Adrian A. Jordan, Jr. b/m dob-6/24/1987 of Dequeen, Ar.  There was a passenger in the vehicle indentified as Christopher T. Edwards b/m dob-12/18/1989 of 622 S. Front St. Nashville, Ar.  Deputy Davis had both subjects get out of the vehicle and asked them if they had been smoking marijuana.  The driver advised Deputy Davis that he had smoked some marijuana earlier in the day.  The driver advised Deputy Davis that there was some marijuana underneath the seat of the vehicle but it was not his.  Deputy Davis searched the vehicle and found a clear plastic bag containing approximately 8oz. of suspected marijuana underneath the passenger’s seat.  Both subjects were arrested of Possession of a Controlled Substance: Marijuana and transported to the Howard County Jail.  No bond has been set at this time.
