Center Point Store burglarized and cigarettes stolen


On June 15, 2014 at 9:04 A.M. Center Point Store owner April Merkle reported that someone had burglarized her store.  Deputy Travis Turner was dispatched to the scene.  When Deputy Turner arrived on the scene he noticed the window located at the front of the store had a large hole in it.  A large rock was found inside the store along with busted glass.  Several packs of cigarettes were missing from the store.

Dominique Brumfield b/m dob-3/18/1995 of 3106 Hwy. 26 West became as a person of interest in the case. Deputy Turner went to Brumfield’s residence and obtained consent to search his residence.  Deputy Turner located some of the stolen cigarettes and arrested Brumfield for Commercial Burglary and Theft of Property.

No bond has been set at this time.
