Phillip Hackney arrested on Drug Charges

 

On September 20, 2014 at approximately 10:30 P.M. Deputy Steven Wakefield was patrolling on Hwy. 70 west of Dierks when he observed a vehicle with a busted tail light.  Deputy Wakefield stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Phillip Hackney.  Deputy Wakefield found that Hackney was wanted out of Howard County and Polk County on misdemeanor warrants.  Deputy Wakefield learned that Hackney had a suspended driver’s license.   Deputy Wakefield obtained consent to search the vehicle and found a Newport cigarette box containing a clear plastic bag with suspected methamphetamine inside.  A loaded syringe with suspected methamphetamine was also found inside the vehicle.   Phillip Hackney w/m dob-1/30/1981 of 129 Jester Lane Gillham, Ar. was arrested and transported to the Howard County Jail.  Hackney is being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and Possession of a Drug Paraphernalia.  No bond has been set at this time.
