Rex Boon arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose--Methamphetamine

 

On October 7, 2014 at 11:06 P.M. Deputy Steven Wakefield was patrolling on Sandhill Road and observed a white Chevrolet Cruze run a stop sign.  Deputy Wakefield attempted to stop the vehicle and it speed away.  Deputy Wakefield advised other units that he had lost the vehicle and Nashville Officer Dustin Wakefield responded to the area to help locate the vehicle.  Nashville Officer Dustin Wakefield located the vehicle parked on Murphy Lane.  Deputy Wakefield arrived at the scene and saw the white Chevrolet Cruze parked in the middle of the roadway on Murphy Lane.  No one was around the vehicle but the motor was hot and Deputy Wakefield could smell the brakes burning.  Officers went at the residence near where the vehicle was parked but could not find anyone at home.  Deputy Wakefield was walking back to his vehicle and he saw a white male coming from behind the house.  Deputy Wakefield knew the white male to be Rex Boon.  Mr. Boon was sweating and very nervous.  Mr. Boon admitted that he was driving the vehicle and that he had a suspended driving license.  Mr. Boon was arrested for driving on a suspended license.  After arresting Rex Boon Deputy Wakefield walked behind the house where Rex Boon had came from and Deputy Wakefield found cash money lying on the ground.  Deputy Wakefield also found a Newport cigarette package lying near the cash with two clear bags containing suspect methamphetamine.  Rex Boon w/m dob-12/5/1989 of 488 Hempstead Road 37 Ozan, Ar. was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose—Methamphetamine.   Bond has been set at 50,000 dollars.
