On October 29, 2014 at approximately 9:45 P.M. Deputy Joey Davis was patrolling on S.H. #355 south of Mineral Springs.  Deputy Davis meet a vehicle that was speeding and made a traffic stop on the vehicle.  Deputy Davis identified the driver as Acie Hollins Jr. b/m dob-7/12/1962 from Texarkana, Texas.    Deputy Davis noticed the driver was nervous and when he checked his driving record he learned that Acie Hollins was on parole.  Deputy Davis obtained consent to search the vehicle and found suspected marijuana, a marijuana cigarette, digital scales and rolling papers.  Deputy Davis searched the trunk of the vehicle and found a loaded 25 caliber pistol.  Acie Hollins Jr. was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance: Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Firearm by Certain Person.  No bond has been set at this time.
