Deputy Joey Davis took a report from Carl Murphy at his residence on Cornbridge Rd. Sunday morning after Carl noticed his house had been burglarized and guns and other items were missing. Davis received some information from witnesses that Curtis Smith, Jr. had been in the area of the burglary during this time. Davis worked with Investigator Jade Hughes on the case and found Smith on Wednesday afternoon. Smith assisted deputies in recovering the property taken from Mr. Murphy’s house. Smith was arrested for residential burglary and theft of property. No bond has been set as of this press release.
