Drug Arrest

On May 15th K9 Deputy Travis Turner was in his personal vehicle traveling on Hwy 26 near Anderson Road when he observed a white female, and a white male walking on the hwy. Turner contacted Deputy Timmy Floyd who was on duty to see if the two needed any assistance. Prior to Deputy Floyd getting to that location on Hwy 26 the sheriff’s office received a call from a residence in the area reporting the two subjects walking had stopped in a yard asking about property in the yard. Floyd made contact with the two individuals walking near Anderson Road and Turner returned to that location in his patrol car to assist Floyd. They identified the male subject as Jake Curry (36) of Cittenden, AR. and Charity Kyle (29) of Vandrvort, AR. The two were showing signs of being under the influence of methamphetamine or similar substance. Floyd witnessed the female hand something to the male subject and Turner obtained the item from him, an eye glass case that contained clear plastic bags, two containing a substance believed to be meth, and a glass smoking pipe used for smoking meth. It was learned that Curry and Kyle’s vehicle had broken down on Hwy 26 and they had walked from there. The two were arrested and appeared in court yesterday for possession of controlled substance with purpose to deliver, methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
