The sheriff’s office received a call at approximately 2:00 p.m. today from a duck hunter reporting finding a pickup truck at the boat ramp with a man inside who he thinks had shot himself. Units arrived and found John Greg Tate, 67 of Nashville deceased inside his truck. Mr. Tate died from an apparent, self-inflicted, single gun shot wound.
